Ellipse Data is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic digital designer to drive the design and usability of our products, both customer-facing and internal. This role is remote/hybrid, with monthly travel to London required for meetings. The role starts ASAP. Salary competitive, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Own the design of all our existing and future products, working in tandem with product and engineering teams to deliver a best-in-class, amazing product.
- Be comfortable using a range of tools in what is a wide-ranging role: you may be designing a broadcast graphic in cricket on Monday, a digital user interface in tennis on Wednesday, followed by a Javascript-powered widget for other sports after that.
- Create all required visual assets as required
- Manage the design backlog
- Handle the design and delivery of company presentations/slides, RFPs etc.
- Implement and maintain consistent brand guidelines for the business, to ensure a common design framework is used across our verticals (cricket, tennis, rugby)
Requirements
- Proven experience as a digital designer, with examples of creating web-based products and/or cross-platform apps to showcase your design nous
- Experienced in working with Product teams to ensure design delivery meets product managers’ expectations
- Comfortable and experienced working with multidisciplinary technology teams
- Experienced delivering design solutions to complex user-interface problems
- Up to date: your knowledge of Figma, Sketch, Adobe are all bang up to date
- Interest in sport. Specific experience within sport or digital sport media isn’t required but is beneficial. Our office is based at The Oval, a large and lovely cricket ground in London.
- You will have exceptional time and prioritisation management skills and be comfortable working independently on longer-term projects, as well as part of a growing team
- Be adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have
- Cricket or tennis fan
- Broadcast graphic design experience
- UX knowledge of customer journeys and flows
- Experience designing front-end Javascript-based products
- Knowledge or experience (or interest…) in visualising vast datasets
- Animation or video experience
