Ellipse Data announces key strategic hires to support growth across multiple sports

Ellipse Data makes senior management appointments across marketing, sales, gaming and product development.

LONDON, February 7, 2023: Ellipse Data, a leading sports data and analytics company has today announced several appointments to support its recent growth across multiple sports. Ellipse Data was founded in 2018 and comprises CricViz, TennisViz, Oval Insights, Stuart Farmer Media Services, SoccerViz and horse racing.

The recent appointments take Ellipse Data’s growing headcount to over 65 with the company moving into a new London head office adding to its existing data collection centre in Leeds. The recent hires include:

Alan Davis, Head of Marketing, brings over 15 years of B2B and B2C marketing experience within the sport and leisure industry having worked in football and horse racing. Most recently Davis added expertise in sports content and media with Spotlight Sports Group.

Andrew Palmer, Head of Sales, joins the business having held a number of senior business development and sales positions with significant sports betting organisations, most recently Sportradar. Palmer will focus on CricViz combining his professional experience with his passion for cricket across all formats.

Fred Clarke, Head of Product, has over a decade of experience working in sports data at Opta, DAZN and Betfair. Clarke will lead product development with a specific focus on cricket utilising his expertise across data and video.

Roderick Grafton, Head of Racing and Gaming, with over 20 years of experience in the gambling sector and has been working with the business in a consultancy capacity since 2021, Grafton takes up this role utilising his knowledge of the sports betting industry and breadth of experience in trading and data science.
