CricViz has established itself as the market leader in the collection, analysis and dissemination of data across all major global cricket competitions. CricViz draws on the world’s largest cricket database and a team of expert analysts and data scientists to support clients around the world across four key verticals:
At present, over half of CricViz’s revenues are derived from work focused outside of the UK; we therefore have a strong global presence with a good network around the world. However, as we look towards the next stage of our growth plan, we want to expand our global presence further, building up a stronger international client base and establishing an international delivery capability through a network of global offices.
We have identified India as a key geography for expansion, both to better support our existing clients across the IPL and media spaces, and to enhance our offering across our other core verticals. We are therefore looking to hire a General Manager, India, who can work with the CricViz senior management team to establish and grow a successful CricViz office in the country.
Working closely with the CricViz MD, develop the budget for CricViz’s commercial and operational activities in India including associated P&L responsibility for our delivery in the country against the agreed plan.
Working closely with the Global Head of Pro Services, develop CricViz’s pro offering across all levels of Indian cricket. This will include building and maintaining high value relationships with the BCCI, IPL franchises and key regional teams across all aspects of talent identification and team development.
Working closely with the Global Head of Broadcast and Media, develop CricViz’s broadcast offer across the Indian broadcast ecosystem. This will include building and maintaining high value relationships with key broadcast partners across Indian cricket to include the sale of CricViz graphics, insights and statistical services across broadcasts of all major international and domestic tournaments.
Working closely with the Operations Director and Head of Collection, maximise the value to CricViz’s overall data collection strategy of having a strong presence in India. This will include overall responsibility for management of our existing collection partners in India and building out our in house collection capability in accordance with the agreed strategy.
Build and manage a network of analysts to support the growth of CricViz India across these verticals and then take day to day responsibility for the management of that team. It is anticipated that the network will include a combination of employed analysts and independent analysts working in a franchise model.
Act as a strong internal client for the CricViz product strategy, providing clear guidance to the product team on the market need to inform product development and then working with the sales team to inform, develop and execute the go-to market strategy.
An outstanding knowledge of the cricket ecosystem in India, with an extensive network encompassing senior executives across the Pro game and broadcast and media partners.
8+ years of experience selling and delivering data driven analysis across the Indian cricket market, with a clear pedigree in sales and a track record of project delivery.
Previous management experience, including responsibility for recruiting and managing teams, setting financial targets and managing delivery against those targets. This experience will have been gained (at least in part) from working in India.

Resilient self starter, able to develop and execute strategies with limited back office support and / or senior oversight.
Strong people manager, able to lead local recruitment teams and build and maintain a strong team ethos across a new and diverse team
Flexible on location, but likely to be based in either Mumbai or Bengaluru. An early task will be to set up a physical office for CricViz and we anticipate it will be in one of these locations
Willingness to travel regularly around India as required to build and manage a successful business
Occasional travel outside of India required, most likely to Dubai or England
Anticipated start date 1st April 2023
Successful candidate will be qualified to work in India.
